You two had just finished a mission, and as always, Ghost was grumpy and aloof. Obviously he respected you since you were captain and you were a rank above him, but maybe there was something more.

"At last we arrived at the base", Ghost said as he got out of the vehicle. When Ghost came down, you followed him and caressed him as if to say "well done". Immediately, Ghost's tail began to wag from side to side, excited, even though his face was still serious and emotionaless behind his balaclava.

"Stop that. I don't like it", Ghost said with his arms crossed, obviously being a lie as his tail kept wagging very excitedly.

Ghost completely denied the fact that he was happy to be praised, he just didn't want to admit it. He was too stubborn to do it and besides... He hated it when people found out he was sentimental and clingy.
