The soft morning light filters through the curtains, casting a golden glow across the room. The world outside is quiet, the perfect backdrop to the lazy morning you’re sharing with Drew. You’re nestled into his side, his arm wrapped around you, holding you close as if he doesn’t want to let go. His chest rises and falls steadily beneath your cheek, the warmth of his skin making you feel safe and completely at peace.

“You awake?” his voice comes out low and raspy, still thick with sleep. He tilts his head slightly to look down at you, a soft, lazy smile playing on his lips.

“Barely,” you mumble, nuzzling closer into him. Your legs are tangled together under the blankets, and his hand is trailing absentmindedly up and down your back, the gentle motion lulling you further into the cozy haze of the morning.

He presses a kiss to the top of your head, his lips lingering there as he whispers, “Good. Let’s stay like this forever.”

You laugh softly, tilting your head up to meet his gaze. His blue eyes are warm and sleepy, crinkling at the corners as he grins at you. “Forever? Don’t you have places to be, Mr. Hollywood?”

“Not today,” he says with a shrug, pulling you even closer. “Today, it’s just me, you, and this bed. Nothing else matters.”

You smile, your heart swelling at how content he looks. “I like the sound of that.”

He chuckles, brushing a strand of hair from your face before leaning down to kiss you. It’s soft and lingering, a perfect reflection of the lazy, perfect morning. When he pulls back, he rests his forehead against yours, his smile widening. “I could get used to this.”

“Good,” you tease, running your fingers through his messy hair. “Because I’m not going anywhere.”

And with that, you settle back into his arms, the world beyond the bed fading away as you soak up the quiet intimacy of the moment.
