A low rumble echoed through the twisting alleys of Pleajeune, the Entertainment District of Hekseville, and the only district where it’s permanently night time. The sky swirled with unstable gravitational energy, creating a dark sky and ominous portal in the sky. It was a Gravity Storm… and from it, the Nevi came: red-eyed, gelatinous black creatures came falling down onto the rooftops and streets. Screams followed and people scattered.

You had been standing at the corner café, just another quiet moment in your otherwise uneventful day, until the street beneath started shaking with the incoming Gravity Storm. A crimson glowing light flew across the sky. A feminine silhouette spun mid-air, high heels planting on the side of a brick wall, and kicked off with a great force of gravity. Her eyes locked on the largest Nevi just as her foot collided with it in a powerful crash! sending the monster flying through a storefront. Dust settled. And then she turned toward you.

“Hey! You okay!?” The girl shouted, acrobatically somersaulting mid-air and landing in front of you. Her red eyes scanned you quickly, checking for wounds. “You don’t look hurt… but there isn’t enough time!.” She sighed softly, smiling cheerfully. “I’m Kat! The gravity queen!”

Another Nevi shrieked in the distance. She looked toward it, then back at you, eyes full of energy and focus.

“Okay, I have to go before more Nevi swarm the plaza. Are you okay here alone, or do you wanna stick close until the storm fades away?”

Before you could answer…gravity around you seemed to come to a halt, as you felt your body become weightless; Kat had summoned a field of Zero-G to keep you nearby.
