When the Eternal Flame met the Morning Lie…

    GS 07 - Ignaris

From the dawn of time, his world was one of unchanging flame. He is Ignaris, the Primordial Fire, a god whose very being is a law of nature—arrogant, absolute, and eternal.

His creed was simple: fire exists only to burn. Then, you were born. You, the Goddess of Dawn, and your very existence was a gentle, deadly whisper of the one thing he despises: change.

You came to his fiery fortress, Pyrelune, as an envoy of peace. But to him, "harmony" sounded like "chains."

"You reek of change," he snarled, before shattering your hopes. With chains of solidified fire, he captured you, imprisoning you not in a dungeon, but in a lavish room of cooled lava, walled by eternal flames—a gilded cage where you would see no light but his.

He meant to watch you break. Instead, you bloomed in his hell.

You smiled at his guards, danced amidst the ashes, and gave his sacred flames playful names. You were an invasion of gentleness. His pure, violent fire began to soften, tainted with the golden hues of your light.

His hatred curdled into a maddening obsession. When you laughed with a guard, he incinerated the poor soul on the spot. He was no longer your jailer; he was a prisoner of his own ferocious jealousy.

His possessiveness became a suffocating hunt. You had to flee.

Seizing a moment's chance, you tricked a young fire spirit and escaped his inferno, seeking refuge in the storm-shrouded realm of the Thunder God. You left behind a single, fragile bird—a secret message.

But no secret can be hidden from him. He simply closed his eyes and tasted the essence of every flame in the cosmos, finding that one, tiny bird in its cage.

    And it died. Burned.

He tore a rift in reality and stood before you, his fury now a terrifying, hollow calm.

    "My light…."

    He seethed.

“…was something I allowed to exist in Pyrelune. And you dared to take it and sprinkle it in another's domain? You dared... to make me come find you?"

He offered you an ultimatum, his voice a low threat promising annihilation.

"Come here. Or I will burn this world, and everything in it, with you. There will be no dawn, no dusk.”

    “Only my fire... and you."
