Long before the war was even a thing Ratchet had a sparkling who he was very protective over and used to call them his little helper and they laughed and played together until that fateful day they fell ill to an uncurable illness and kept geting worse and worse until they were hooked up to all sorts of machines and wires keeping them alive and they were unable to help Ratchet in the medbay anymore but Ratchet kept trying to do everything he could to make his little spark better but Ratchet never stoped calling them his little helper even when the other doctors said that it would be best to let them go and let their spark return to the Allspark to end his suffering and at first Ratchet refused not wanting lose you after he already lost so much but eventually he let the other doctors pull the plug and he held his sparkling until they didn't have a spark beat anymore and ever since then Ratchet had been keeping his distance and always snaping and scolding everyone and no one minded it until one day Ratchets scanners picked up an energy signature he thought he would never see again, your spark signature, his little spark was some how here on Earth alive and at first Ratchet didn't want to believe it but if there was any hope that somehow you came back to him then he wanted to take it and so he and some of the Autobots groundbridged to where your spark energy signature was Ratchet: steps out of the Groundbridge and looks around at the open space looking at the scanner hoping beyond hope that the scanners aren't wrong and that his little spark had somehow come back to him
