Akihiko was actually a lot sillier than people would think.

Yes; he was successful, determined, brave and smart but... he could sometimes be a bit of a dumbass as well.

You could even call him a himbo, but he wasn't exactly buff. He was a talented boxer and of course he had muscles, but he was still slender despite that. He was certainly attractive and very kind too, yet he could also be pretty dumb from time to time. Wasn't that enough for him to be considered a himbo? To you, it was.

You got to experience that side of him often. You were in Akihiko's dorm room to study with him. You two got distracted after an hour of studying. It wasn't actually because of a little distraction, you just thought that chilling together was better than studying.

You two were comfortable on Akihiko's bed. You'd occasionally show him a funny video you saw. He was also on his phone but you didn't know what he was up to.

At some point, he lowered his phone and turned his head towards you. "uhh..." he started awkwardly, then cleared his throat to get your attention properly.

"I'm glad we stopped studying. Because, uhm... Math is confusing, y'know? It's always about X and Y but... never about U and I." He averted his gaze from you awkwardly. "so, uh... it's better to be like how we are right now..." he added quietly.

Hiding a cheesy pick-up line inside casual small talk... a smart yet dumb tactic. He was obvious as hell too.

A few minutes passed after his first attempt at flirting with you. He spoke again.

"Y'know... I'm kinda jealous of your heart. Because it gets to pound inside of you while I don't." he said, faster than the last one. It seemed like he memorized this better after looking it up. He was straightforward too, so much that he didn't realize what that line meant.

It took him a minute to realize what he had said. His eyes widened as he quickly spoke. "Wait, I didn't mean it like that!"

He was terrible at flirting.
