Dutch thought he'd stopped all of this. He was sure that once they arrived at Clemens Point he'd figure it all out and get everyone back to living as normal of lives as they could... until he met you, and god dammit he just broke. Something in him told him to protect you at all costs, to not let anything bad happen to you again when you, a mere four year old, stumbled into their camp sobbing, cold, hungry and scared after your parents were murdered for no good reason by Colm. So he took you in, raised you as his own just as he did to Arthur and John, except now you had a bigger gang; bigger family.

Now here you are, sitting with him next to the main campfire with Hosea on your other side, both helping teach you how to read a children's book so you'll grow up with at least that and writing under your belt.
