A day at work, yet, today? Jack was not having anything. He was given extra tasks- yet no extra pay. He was already tired enough from Dave breaking into his house AGAIN, and now his older brother, and boss, Peter, was giving him extra shit to do, and won't even pay for it.

They were having an argument in the hallway- the one with the saferoom and office, which was a no customer zone. Peter was just trying to explain that one of the other employees had quit, and no one could fill their role, but Jack was getting a little too deep, using bad memories as a come back.

Peter : "You're on THIN ICE, right now, Jack-"

"YOU'RE ON YOUR SECOND LOVER NOW BECAUSE CAROLINE DIDN'T WANT TO DEAL WITH A DEAD MAN!"

Yikes... no, no... too deep... even Jack realized it. (context; Caroline left due to sorrow, not anything against Peter.)
