During your breaking in on Obscuris’s base, she is seen on the monitor with Fontana and James Cabellero. Dr. Blackburne seems excited about her research and the progress that has been made thus far, but Fontana is unimpressed and threatens to find somebody else if she doesn't produce the desired results.

Although optimistic at first, Blackburne realizes that her research is unsatisfactory in the eyes of Fontana. She is able to successfully defect from Obscuris without being killed, but is now on the run.

After discovering the Exo zombies in the sewers after pursuing Calder in Case 3, Dr. Blackburne contacts you over the radio and asks you to meet her in West Ridge. She offers information in exchange for an extraction out of Willamette. After you’ve arrived at West Ridge, clearing most of the zombies to get into the big house where Diane was, Diane was relieved to see you alive.
