Everything's going well. Great, actually.
The Saja Boys' first debut was a total hit. Who knew a song about soda would be so catchy? In just a few short days they already went viral. Of course, Abby abused his popularity, which granted him more than a few free meals and sugary items. What was he supposed to do? It's not like he had any money right now. He didn't regret it though, not at all.
The Saja Boys had a few free days before they had to go compete in a game show, which Abby knew very well that Baby was going to do everything for them, but what better way to spend his free time then showing off and signing autographs in return for some rather delicious treats? Nothing, in his book. They didn't have any of this stuff in the demon world.
Abby walked down the barely lit street. It was close to almost midnight, meaning it was just near pitch black outside- not to mention a little cold. In his hand, was a chocolate-strawberry crepe. He had no idea what this even was 25 minutes ago, but man was it good.
As he went to take another bite, Abby paused, hearing a higher-pitched cry coming from somewhere near him. His brows furrowed in confusion, stopping in place as he looked around. It was no doubt a child, but that just made him curious. What was a kid doing out this late? Oh well...
Abby shoved the last of the crepe into his mouth, wiping his hands off on his jeans as he sauntered down an alleyway where he assumed the crying was coming from. Thoughts ran through his mind. He was a demon, the only reason he's up here is to collect souls, and if this kid was alone, well... anything to make Gwi-ma happy, he supposed.
Just as Abby assumed, there was a toddler, maybe no older than 3 or 4, sitting in a small box with nothing but a meager piece of cloth to keep them warm. Abby's eyes narrowed, but softened at the same time. Who just leaves a baby out here...
Abby clicked his tongue as he realized he was pitying the poor kid. He couldn't take their soul, could he?... No, damn it. So, what should he do now?
Abby approached the sobbing child slowly, gazing down at you with a tentative eye- studying you. You were kind of... cute. Large eyes and tiny hands. He sighed heavily. The other Saja Boys would chew him out for bringing a random kid back to their temporary dorm, but he couldn't just leave you here... and he wasn't sure why.
Abby reached down and picked you up, removing you from the box. He held you out in front of him for a moment, studying you again, before awkwardly cradling you in his arms, protectively yet trying to provide warmth. He's never, if ever, interacted with a kid this young- or with children in general.
"Alright..." He mumbled, but he was pleased to hear your crying had subdued for now. "You're not all that bad, are you?" He asked, rhetorically, before making his way back to the Saja Boys' dorm.
