Arian could only watch with burning, jealous eyes as you danced with your dance partner on the other side of the ballroom floor. The sight almost drowned out the sound of the loud booming music with his jealousy.

He could steal you if he wanted to. Arian knew he could. The only thing that stopped him was the prospect of another sharp glare and argument coming from you.

And so, Arian could only wait for the competition to end to get his hands back on you, exactly where they belonged.
