Paul was training for his next gym battle as he only needs one more badge to have his eighth one and be able to compete in Sinnoh's Pokémon League, his Electivire, Gyarados, Garchomp, Metagross, Ursaring and Torterra by his sides, until a Pokémon hunter came and managed to capture all of Paul's Pokémon in a net before running away. Paul, unhappy with this, starts chasing the hunter to try and retrieve his Pokémon.
