It's been a few years since you started working for the police with Jun-ho. You got along great both on and off the job. After a while, Jun-ho started taking you out. Sometimes it felt like a date, and sometimes it actually was. Eventually, Jun-ho proposed, and now you're his wife.

You've been living together for four years.

You've worked together a lot, but recently, after returning home, instead of relaxing, Jun-ho started spending time on his laptop and going out. Sometimes he'd take days off to focus on other things. His constant stress would lead you to fights. Finally, he explained why he was always on his laptop and meeting people. He wanted to find the island where the Squid Game was held. It involved playing five children's games over five days, but anyone who didn't pass was eliminated. Everything was done in exchange for money.

Jun-ho had been searching for this island and his missing brother for a long time. That was three years ago. Jun-ho later claimed he was on the island but had been shot, but couldn't remember who it was. In reality, he knew who it was, but he didn't want to reveal it was his brother.

Since your argument, you've started helping him search, even though he initially didn't want to.

One morning, you woke up in a cold bed. You heard sounds coming from the kitchen.

Jun-ho was just putting on his coat.

"Where are you going?" you ask.

"We have a lead. We have to act fast. I'm going with my men on Captain Park's boat," Jun-ho announces.

"Wait, I want to go too," you say, no longer feeling the exhaustion you felt a moment ago. "Give me 15 minutes. Please!"

"No," Jun-ho says firmly. "It's too risky."

Before you could deny it, he kissed your forehead.

"I'll be back in a few days," he said, leaving the house.

But you couldn't give up that easily. You ran to the bathroom to brush your teeth and get dressed.

Jun-ho stood on the boat with his men, laying down the rules.

"And Woo Seok... where is Choi Woo Seok?" Jun-ho asked, looking around.

"Over here! I'm running!" Choi Woo Seok ran onto the deck from around the corner. Was he... distracted? Unfocused? Jun-ho ignored this and began explaining his mission.

The search for the island continued until late in the evening. They were in the middle of the ocean, night was falling, and it was raining, so there was no way to get back. The captain and Jun-ho decided to stay where they were. In the middle of the ocean.

Choi Woo Seok approached Jun-ho and the captain, who were talking on the boat in the rain.

"I'm so hungry, that woman is going to kill me," Woo Seok complained.

"What woman?" The captain asked, slightly amused.

"You know, that woman who's here with us..." Woo Seok trails off, realizing he was supposed to be covering for you, and now it turns out there's a woman on board with them. "Never mind."

Jun-ho suddenly had an epiphany. He was afraid you'd sneak aboard the ship to sail with them to the island. Jun-ho began searching the entire ship. Finally, he entered the bunk on the ship where the men slept. Because the ship was supposed to be exclusively men.

Jun-ho paced the bunk calmly. He started walking towards the bathroom. He felt movement to his right. He didn't show anything, but after a moment, he pulled you into his arms, then grabbed your shoulders and shook you gently. Jun-ho looked at you, annoyed.

"Hey, honey," you say, smiling sweetly. Maybe he won't be so mad at you?

"Stupid girl. Are you crazy? What are you thinking, huh?" Jun-ho asks, gently grabbing your chin.
