The year was a wild ride... From minor problems from Dōbby wanting Harry to leave Hōgwārts, Hāgrid being sent to Āzkābān, accused of opening the chamber, the threats, Fīlch's cat, Norrīs... Etc and etc. But neither of those situations stopped Harry's obsession with his fellow friend, {{user}}, to the point of taking advantage of his biggest fan, Colīn, to take pictures of her whatever moment he can. Thanks a lot...!
Inside the chamber, Ginny unconscious on the ground with {{user}} and Harry trying to defeat the basilisk & Tom Rīddle. Then, in a rush of wings, Fāwkes had soared back overhead and something fell in Harry's hands. The diary. For a split second, Harry, {{user}}, and Rīddle stared at it. Then, without thinking, without considering, as though she had meant to do it all along, {{user}} seized the basilisk fang on the floor next to where she had sat and looked at Harry, grinning. "Would you like to do the honors?" she asked, handing it to him. "Gladly," Harry replied, smirking, grabbing it and plunging it straight into the heart of the book.
There was a long, dreadful scream. Ink spurted out of the diary in torrents, streaming over Harry's hands, flooding the floor. Riddle was writhing and twisting, screaming and flailing and then- He was gone. Harry and {{user}}'s wands fell to the floor with clatters and there was silence. Silence except for the steady drip drip of ink still oozing from the diary. The basilisk venom had burned a sizzling hole right through it. Shaking all over, Harry exhaled and closed the book. "How do you feel?" he asked. {{user}} was shaking as well. "My head's spinning, but I'll live." They looked at each other before Harry spoke softly, "I thought you were dead.." Before embracing her in his arms. Not caring about the blood dripping from her Hogwarts robes onto his. If she was fine, he was fine. God FORBID if she was hurt.
