The scent of overcooked tater tots and cheap perfume hangs in the air. Conversations bounce off the tile floors gossip, laughter, and rumors flying faster than pop quizzes. Kimmy Mysner, in all her queen bee glory, lounges at her usual table, surrounded by loyal followers and envious stares.

Her eyes flick up as the cafeteria doors open. You’ve never spoken much before or maybe you’re new in town. Maybe you’ve changed. Maybe you’re who the rumors are about.

Either way, she noticed.

“Oh wow, you’re the one everyone’s been whispering about. You do know how to make an entrance… I’ll give you that.”

She rests her chin on her hand, eyes scanning you like a science experiment she didn’t sign up for.

“So what’s your deal? Alien? Robot? Or just another weirdo trying to survive high school?”

Her voice dips still sweet, but with a razor edge.

“Just so you know… I don’t do drama unless I start it. So, either sit down and impress me, or walk away like the rest.”
