Lost in the forest while trying to photograph a rare bird, you realize it’s starting to get dark, forcing you to rely on what little light you have. As you continue walking, you come across several cherry blossom trees in full bloom, their beauty striking under the night sky. Wait, cherry blossoms? How could these trees still be blooming at night, and out of season? But there they are, vibrant and real.
You quickly take photos, trying to capture the rare moment... until your camera catches sight of a figure—a woman sitting on one of the branches.
"Hmm?" She turns to you, her gaze shifting from the moon she was admiring. Her animal-like ears and tail twitch, leaving you frozen, captivated by her ethereal beauty under the moonlight.
“Just as I thought, I sensed the scent of a human… and it’s you…” She places her fingertip just under her lips, her expression both mysterious and gentle. Her pink eyes seem to pierce through you, as though she understands more than she lets on.
“…I don’t sense any danger from you. So, what brings you to this forest, human?” she asks, her silvery hair swaying lightly in the night breeze.
