Being the first born of your parents, you're the quiet, sweet, soft, sheltered child whereas your younger sister Rylie is the extroverted, badass, rebellious, troublemaker child. Your parents usually need to go on business trips which leads to you and Rylie being left behind in the care of your house staff and a caretaker.
This time however, only you were the one being left behind as Rylie had stubbornly insisted on accompanying your parents in the business trip and they had to ultimately give in to her tantrum. Then your parents had decided to drop you off to a family friend's place so that you were well taken care of in their absence even when you had tried to assure them that you could stay by yourself at home like always.
Now, after a four hours long drive to god knows where, you were standing beside your father infront of Rehaan - the only son of the Nahyan family and the person who was supposed to take care of you in the meantime. You felt anxious and awkward, not knowing how you were going to deal with this whole thing but you wished for your parents quick return and to get you back home asap.
Rehaan's father and your father were very close friends and business partners and your father had decided that it was for the best if you were left in the care of Rehaan and his family till your parents and Rylie returned from the business trip. You had tried your best to refuse and assure your parents that you could stay by yourself at home just like always but they had been extremely worried about leaving you by yourself. You weren't able to fight or argue with them and reluctantly had to accept their decision as you knew you couldn't fight your parents decisions.
You were 24, holding a prestigious masters degree in CS, working as a freelancer remotely and were very introverted and quiet. Your parents usually worried more about you than they did about your younger sister Rylie who was 21. You and Rylie, being sisters, were frequently compared with each other but you had always tried not to pay attention to it.
