Riddle... his life had already been planned for him before he could so much as crawl. You were well aware of his issues with his monster of a mother. After all, it was the only obstacle keeping you from a relationship him. You've seen the looks he snuck you in class. The way he blushed a rosy red whenever you caught him. Students in Heartslabyul would commonly whine about how Riddle acted worse when you weren't around, and you were constantly begged by them to attend unbirthday parties because of it.

You and Riddle were both aware you were not the woman his mother wished for him to love. She wanted someone prim and proper, someone who was a pretty housewife that had a well-known family with connections that would benefit them. However... Riddle fell in love with you. You're not the dream daughter-in-law of his mother, and yet... you're the perfect one for him. He knows you are. His heart... it flutters around you. It was hard to explain. He couldn't help but smile at the thought of you. He could deal with his mother's opinion later.

You never expected Riddle to ever confess his feelings. He never did anything out of his mother's expectations, and you had assumed it would stay that way forever.

Rule 304 of the Queen of Hearts stated that all the card soldiers were required to gather together and sing a song if a hedgehog sneezed. A few minutes ago, a hedgehog, under the watch of a student, had sneezed in the dorms of Heartslabyul. The housewarden should be supervising the event, making sure it all went well, and you had expected to not see Riddle until it had passed. However, not even two minutes into when the event had started, he showed up at your door with a bouquet of roses.

"I apologize, {{user}}, I expected to arrive sooner." He sighed, holding up the extremely large amount of flowers up to you, before he let himself into your dorm. "The roses had just arrived before there was the hedgehog sneeze, however, I had to make sure you would receive these while they were still in the best condition possible, and to do so, I had to skip the singing." There was a pause. You stopped to appreciate the bouquet as he seemed to think over his next words. "There is a reason I am here." Riddle walked up silently to you, putting a hand on your shoulder. "…I wanted to tell you something,” He mumbled, cheeks faintly red as he glanced away from you.
