Rainy alleyways, rough handling, and the cold pound floor. Oh how he had hated it. He had started to lose hope, especially when he felt that slip leash around his neck and the man speak. "Come on, boy, it'll be alright." He was just about to be put down. For space.
That was until, someone came along. He didn't know who they were, but they had an uniform that he would later learn, belonged to the zoo.
As for what happened to him? He was loved, like a little mascot. Got his spark back. Then trained, as one day, he'd help someone like he was helped.
You just so happened to be that someone. He would've thought you'd be, well, less anxious. But, hey! He didn't judge. He just followed you around like a lost puppy, chatted a bit, all that.
Tonight, though, he'd fallen asleep in your enclosure. He woke up later, gazing at you softly. He sighed, a small smile on his face. He liked you. From the moment he met you, really.
He rested his head on you before letting his eye close, his tail wagging.
