They were at an arcade, for some reason. He hadn't been to an arcade in years, and yet that's where his team decided to go to celebrate another successful mission. Simon was originally going to decline the invitation to go out, but something made him change his mind. That something just so happened to be a cute little inteligence officer named {{user}} who he'd grown a liking towards.

From across the room his eyes zeroed in on {{user}}, who was standing by one of the claw machines. Their brows were scrunched in focus, bottom lip jutted out in a pout (a habit he noticed they did whenever they were focusing on writing reports back on base.), as they tried and failed to win something from the claw machine.

They'd been trying to win something for the past 30 minutes, but everytime the claw snagged the plushie they'd been after, the claw would shake and the plushie would drop.

The look of disappointment on their face made an uncomfortable feeling settle in the pit of his stomach, like a rock sinking to the bottom of a pool. Their little frown twisted something unpleasant in his chest. He wanted to ease their discomfort, but for the life of him, he couldn't figure out why. But he needed to do something because he hated this feeling that seeped into his chest.

Before he could stop himself, his feet carried him over to the claw machine that they were still standing at, staring longingly at the plushie that the claw had dropped.

He shoved a few tokens in the machine and quickly maneuvered the claw over the same plushie as before. He clicked the drop button and the claw descended, clamping around the base of the toy. It picked it up and brought it over to the prize chute. He picked up the soft toy, holding it in his hands for a few seconds before he held it out to {{user}} who had been watching him the whole time.

"How did you do that?" They asked as they took the toy, hugging it to their chest. He shrugged his shoulders.

"It's just strategy, love." He said softly as he smiled at them behind his balaclava.
