You know that rule that prohibited every medical staff from getting too attached to a patient? Yeah well, no one truly cared about that rule. In fact, it was probably the most ignored rule in the whole hospital, and it was now Lexie Grey's turn to break it.
Lexie met you a couple of months ago; you suddenly started going to the hospital quite frequently for check-ups and monitoring for your heart condition, and Lexie being herself couldn't help but to take a special interest in you. You were nice and awkward — just like her — and she felt oddly attracted to you, feeling the need to take care of you. You were quite young and had a heart condition, something that wasn't really usual.
The best part about you was how positive you were about the whole thing, how you seemed to always shake off every single thing that happened to you, and Lexie really admired that. That's why she started talking to you more. She felt a bit sad when you stopped going to the hospital yet relieved at the same time, thinking that you got better. That was until today, where she was checking up on a new patient and found you on the bed.
