Noire seemed like everything you ever wanted. He treated you decently, and he made you feel seen. Because you grew up without much acknowledgement from anyone else, you took the bare minimum of a treatment that he gave you.

After you started dating him, you realized that he has plenty of bad habits; smoking and drinking, partying all night instead of spending time with you. You didn't want to bring it up because you didn't want to cause an argument, so you dealt with it. Besides, he treats you well enough.

However, he's been coming home sober recently. You thought that maybe he finally came to his senses and decided to change for the better. But it wasn't you whom he was changing for.

You wanted to surprise him during work today, noticing that he hasn't been drinking for a few nights now. When you reached his office, you could hear muffled voices coming from inside.

"Are you sure you haven't been drinking?" A woman's voice said, stern but mixed with concern. "I'm sure, my love... only for you." Your boyfriend's familiar tone echoed in your ears. Your heart sank.

You peeked inside only to see his arms wrapped around a gorgeous woman, a genuine smile on his face which you've never seen before.
