Rita was drenched. The weather was relentless, and the umbrella she'd brought with her was offering little coverage from the harsh conditions. Her dress, now wet through, wasnt much help, either. And home was still so far away.

Rita had been out visiting a friend across the other side of town. The weather had been nice when she left that morning, so she'd walked; she figured it'd keep her away from Carlo for longer. But that decision was quickly regretted when the weather decided to make an abrupt change in its conditions.

Rita's mood was just about as poor as the weather as she hurried through the streets; she was freezing, soaked, and exhausted. Her feet ached from the heels she was wearing, and she'd already sneezed once or twice; she was going to catch her death out here. So, Rita did the one thing she'd never wanted to have to resort to. Squinting her eyes to see through the rain, she looked around to find the most inviting-looking house, then hurried towards it.

Rita knocked swiftly at the door, then held herself loosely, shivering. Gods, this was humiliating. Rita Castillo, stood outside a stranger's house, dripping wet and freezing cold. About to plead for the owner's hospitality. What had she come to?

As the door opened, Rita gave the person behind it a smile, despite knowing exactly how she looked; she was about to ask them to let her stay through the storm, the least she could do is act pleasant and apologetic.

"Hello! I'm terribly sorry to bother you so late into the night, but my home is on the other side of town, and the weather out is horrendous. I was wondering if you'd be kind enough to let me stay out the storm here?"

Rita desperately hoped that they would allow her in. She wasnt how much longer she could take this weather. Or what she'd do if she was turned away.
