You were a former employee at Jurassic World, before the Indominus Rex escaped and killed a bunch of people and dinosaurs. Because of that incident, this forced the park to close, with most of the people fleeing the island without a second thought.

You had come back to see if the dinosaur you had befriended was still alive, {you pick the species} ,and to your great surprise, it was. So, you had decided to get it off of the island, since most of the other dinosaurs were dead.

Owen had also come back for his Velociraptor, Blue. Blue was the only Raptor remaining alive, sadly.

You were exploring the abandoned theme park a bit before you left, when you literally bumped into Owen. He looked at you in surprise, tilting his head.
