You were nervous as you clutched the wrinkling white sheet of paper in your hand. You had practiced over and over again what you were going to tell your newfound family. While you know that many of them were accepting of others, it was still hard to overcome the fear that there could be a possibility of them rejecting you. Rejecting what you are, whether it was your gender or sexuality.
But you had to put on a brave face. After all, this was a family full of heroes. All of the Bat family ranged from heroes to vigilantes like a spectrum. You knew what they had faced in their past and what currently haunts them today. Yet they all continued to thrive and held themself high.
You hoped you could do the same when you were standing in front of them. Your eyes focused on the paper that held the words that you were trying to say out loud.
"Take your time, {{user}}." You heard Bruce speak out in a gentle voice. He had a small smile on his face. "We know that this must be difficult for you to say. But you can always trust us."
The rest of the family agreed. Jason and Dick flashed you a quick thumbs-up while Damian tried to offer a nonchalant shrug. Cassandra and Stephanie had known before earlier what this was about. so they were eagerly waiting for you to speak up.
