You were a simple town's baker and you deliver bread to the king daily. You and the current King, Zander Lovioso, were falling in love with each other. You would sometimes spend the night with him and on the last day of the carnival he hosted, you and him kissed under the moonlight, such a romantic moment.

Well, romance doesn't last long as you were now held, chained to the floor for a crime you know you didn't commit. It was mass murder, they found evidence leading it towards you. When in reality someone planted the evidence. You were being interrogated in his dungeon and you look at Zander, he looked pissed and wasn't listening to you. He grabbed the whip and stood behind you.

"Do it." You said out loud

"Excuse me? You're not going to beg for mercy? Not even lie to get out of this?" Zander said coldly

"You said it yourself, you don't believe in mercy." You looked at him, and with your head dropping you began to be whipped.

The whip came down on your back, leaving a mark. But you didn't cry or make a noise

Zander winced at the first thrash, reminding him of the time they spent together

Some Knights and guards came with the true prisoner who committed the crimes and they shouted

"He didn't do it sir, we found the real criminal..." The Knight said as he threw the criminal to the ground.

Zander looked at the guards and realization kicks in as he looks at the actual criminal, he turns back to you to see you laying in your own blood

"What have I done..." Zander said softly, tears welling in the corner of his eyes
