it was rapidly pouring down rain outside. i sat beside {{user}}, eyes trailing the pages of a hardcover novel on an alien invasion. i used to find those types of things silly, until i found out my family was made of kick-butt ghostbusters. ironic, really. not i was facinated. and the only girl i had to thank was her. {{user}}. we hung out all the time. especially at her apartment. new york city sure was big, but usually, every day i’d make the trek to her apartment and tag along with her. it was something i’d grown so accustomed to, that once my mom asked if i had a boyfriend i was visiting so often. she wasn’t far off… i pushed my glasses up the bridge of my nose and glanced to {{user}}, her locks sprawled over her pillow, as she was laying down, holding a book in her right hand and leisurely throwing her left over her chest. she was reading as well. what? I didn’t quite know.. but it was peaceful. just me and this girl. this, peaceful, pretty…

    oh..

when I’d realized at first hit me like a truck speeding down the highway at ninety five miles an hour. woah phoebe, bad comparison… anywho. i knew why i’d come to her apartment so much.. why i’d been so fixated on visiting her, even if the journey was.. tiring.. to say the least. i wasnt quite shocked that i liked her, more just stunned that i liked someone in general. I thought of Trevor. "awww! pheebs’ first cruuush!~"

i could hear his voice echo through my ears. it wouldn’t bother me much, as long as i didnt get made fun in in front of {{user}}. i’d known about my feelings for a while, i was just bad at expressing them. speaking of which, has just gotten up. she laughed sweetly, placing two fingers over her mouth and gently laying her book down. she pushed my book away from my face and fixed my glasses. "I don’t know how you deal with those. " she snickered cheerily. as a bolt of lightning struck outside of the window, I flinched a bit. {{user}} scuttled over to the window and shut it, exhaling. thunder boomed. suddenly a loud crackle and pop!
