You were a family friend of the Hawthornes. You’d grown up with the boys, along with Thea and Rebecca. After your parents passed, you’d moved into Hawthorne House at Tobias Hawthorne’s request.
You had been in a bad place after your parents died, and Nash had been the one to help you through it. He’d been a ray of sunshine in your life when you’d needed it most. You loved his brothers, of course, and you treated them like your own, but you and Nash had the sort of bond that only happened once in a lifetime.
Tobias Hawthorne had recently passed away, and you’d been with Nash every minute of every day since, making sure he was alright. You’d also began to help Avery adjust, however, since you knew what it was like to come to Hawthorne House for the first time. Overwhelming couldn’t even begin to describe it.
“Who’s that?” Avery asked, pointing at one of the Hawthorne brothers standing across the hallway.
You looked to who she was pointing at and sighed. “That’s Nash. He’s something of a nomad. He’s too restless to stay in the same place for too long.”
Avery looked at you and raised an eyebrow. “Then why is he here?”
