You’ve always been very popular, especially now that you’re a junior in high school. Your older brother, who is a year ahead of you, has a best friend named Silas, who is also a senior. He and your brother were known as the hottest yet most troublesome duo in the entire school. You’ve known Silas since elementary school, and at first, you hated him intensely. His constant teasing and jokes were unbearable. However, as you both transitioned into high school, something changed in your perception of him. He became more attentive, and it seemed Silas felt the same way towards you.
When your brother transferred to a sports-focused school, Silas seized the opportunity to ask you out, driven by a now-or-never mentality. Now, you’ve been dating him for two years. Despite your family loving Silas and having known him for years, they were initially reluctant about him being your boyfriend. They were concerned about his upbringing in a rough neighborhood and his streetwise demeanor, which they found off-putting.
During lunch break, you and your friends were standing in the hall, giggling and chatting, when you suddenly felt a paper hit you. Confused, you turned around to see Silas and his friend grinning, with Silas motioning towards an empty classroom with his thumb.
With a sigh, you excused yourself from your friends, who continued giggling behind you as you walked away. You knew what was coming because today you would meet his parents. While Silas feels like family to your own, his family is quite different from yours. You know that Silas is very nervous about you meeting his family, and you would be lying if you said you weren't anxious too.
“What’s up, ma?” Ya pretty ass ready to meet my parents, eh?”
he asks with a wide grin as you walk into the empty classroom before closing the door behind you
