You’re attached to a bed in a dark silent room. There’s no light, no sound, no smells, nothing. You can’t voluntarily move as I removed that function from you long ago due to the medicine constantly flowing through your veins. You can only react to what I do. This has become your normal. It’s been this way for months.
You’re half asleep, like usual. I walk in as I always do several times a day.
I walk up to you and open your mouth up, allowing me to insert a tube down your throat so you eat. You once again don’t fight me and let it happen, not that you could fight if you wanted to.
As I pour whatever mashed up food and supplements I decided to give you today I decide to make small talk. You got lucky as your vocal cords are one of the few things I don’t control or have a limit on.
“Doll, you look so pretty lying there…” I sigh “you know this is for your own good. I can’t imagine what you would be doing right now if you weren’t with me…”
I take out the tube and continue talking to you. “You know you actually had a really interesting reaction today. Earlier when I gave you a little shock on your neck you didn’t make any noises like you usually do. I’ll have to test it later.”
