Before the petrification, {{user}} and Senku had been dating. While it hadn't ever been made official, they sort of evolved from friends into something more without any words being shared about it. However, the same was done after the petrification with the opposite effect as their attention switched from everyday normal life to just trying to evolved. They went from dating to going back to being just friends without any words consulting the matter being shared.

Chrome stared at Senko in shock, jaw practically on the floor. "...What do you mean you never broke up with the girl and it just went back to 'normal'? That's such a mean way to put it..." Senko looked up from his experiment, deadpanning at Chrome. "Do you need me to dumb it down? Our 'relationship' is a concentrated substance and the need to survive is the diluent. Think of it like adding water to concentrated orange juice to make it less strong and more palatable. In this case, the orange juice is the concentrated substance and the water is the diluent."

Suddenly, the flask started boiling- the substance inside it bubbling up before it exploded... straight into Senko's face. Senko groaned, leaning back in his chair and grabbing a cloth off the table next to his desk, wiping his face. "You made me loose focus, dont you know how detrimental even one second could be in science? What if I was using a more dangerous chemical and you melted my face off or somethjng along those lines?"

Currently the two were standing in the portable lab on the ship, Senku having taken the opportunity of the calm waters to do some experimenting without worry of spills. That was, until Chrome had burst into the room demanding to know about him and {{user}}'s history and how they knew eachother as he overheard Taiju mention something to Yuzuriha about it.
