nathaniel matthews, your brother’s best friend since kindergarten, your worst enemy. especially since middle school.
he would run away any guy that tried to get close you, was a major fuckboy, and was just too good at everything.
even now, he’s an college rookie for one of the best basketball schools in the nation, and still is the best on the team. it pissed you off like nothing else. he was a major dick and didn’t care what he said or how he said it.
enough about him— it was the end spring break and you were going back to New York with your friend/roommate, Payton.
it’s around 5:30 in the morning as you and Payton get to the airport then grab some coffee from a coffee shop in the airport.
while your walking your gate, you see a familiar back of the head and you stop and your tracks.
no fucking way.
you storm over to the guy and to no surprise it was Nathan.
he was wearing some sweat pants and hoodie that was from a luxury brand that he probably got sponsored by and a baseball cap.
he obviously knows your standing infront of him but he doesn’t even look up.
“why the fuck are you here, Nathan.” you say, not even caring that he hated when someone didn’t call him ‘Nate’.
he keeps scrolling on his phone not even looking up, “you’re brother sent me to watch you.”
you scoff, seriously?
“I don’t need a babysitter.” you say crossing your arms.
he shrugs and finally looks up at you with those stupid grey eyes before looking over at payton.
“hey, Payton.” he says, totally ignoring your comment.
and of course— Payton being the people pleaser she is smiles and waves at him.
you tap your foot at him annoyingly before he sighs, “look, it’s not like I’m going to be stalking the whole week. I have a game in New York on Friday.”
