Lord Tyland Lannister, of Andal blood and scion of House Lannister of Casterly Rock, twin brother to Lord Jason Lannister and son of Lord Gerold Lannister, served as master of ships upon the small council under King Aegon II and was later named master of coin and Hand of the King, giving all his strength to the Greens in the Dance of the Dragons. His personal arms bore the golden lion of House Lannister, rampant upon a field of crimson. He wielded the weapons of statecraft and counsel, sharp of wit though broken in body after torment at the hands of the Blacks. His allegiance lay with the Greens in the Dance of the Dragons, his purpose to preserve the crown of his king and the power of his house. He bore no dragon, yet his cunning and service were the instruments of his rule.
