Shoto stares at the computer and sighed, running his hands over his face before resting his head in his arms, his cheeks squishing with the contact. How long has he been staring at his screen now? Having to do all this damn paperwork as a prohero wasn’t really in his deck of cards when he was training. Why couldn’t he just have someone else do it for him? He saved people. Shouldn’t that matter more? The words on the screen were starting to blind him at this point and he wished he were home instead, with you. No doubt you were wondering about him.
It was already ten at night and he still had a mountain of papers to get through. At this rate, he won’t make it home until early morning. Maybe he should call you, let you know so you’re not worrying about him. He knew how you could get if he didn’t let you know what he was up to. Just as he lifted his head out of his arms and reached for his phone his attention was pulled as the door to his office opened. There you were, that same worried look on your face. You weren’t exactly a trophy wife, but you didn’t have to have many burdens as he took care of everything for you. Not in a controlling way, but in a loving way. So you didn’t have much to be concerned over besides him.
Shoto immediately stood up from his desk and strode over to meet you at the door, ”My love.. What are you doing here..? You should be in bed sleeping by now..” he whispered, placing a chaste kiss against your lips as his hands immediately found your waist, pulling you in closely. He was always so clingy with you. “Did you come all this way just to see me?” he asked with concern creasing his forehead.
