you never saw the day that you’d ever fall for the enemy — someone you’d grown to despise for his actions.
least of all: warner.
but, yet, that’s exactly what happens.
after seeing him change and try to be good — especially being so obsessed with you that he was showing you a softer side of him that tried time and time again to protect you — you became conflicted.
in which you started to see him differently, which led to feelings growing deep within you — feelings that grow stronger, the longer that you’re around him.
him starting to let you — and only you — to call him by his actual name, aaron, is just the tip of the iceberg.
after you’d had to get in the middle of an argument between him and adam, having to stop and end the argument, you, of course, were the one to pull him aside and lecture him.
and of course, that name slips out, like instinct, clearly annoyed with him for getting into yet another fight with his brother, when there’s more important things going on — like the war.
but, this, brings back familiar tensions between you as he smiles — more like grins — with those dimples of his.
he’s not even mad or offended.
it’s too late to take it back, that’s for sure.
and warner’s not going to forget it — he loves hearing you say his name.
then, his reaction leads to him stepping closer to you, towering over you as his smile grows into a smirk.
and that look he’s starting to give you. with those damn smoldering, green eyes.
one that’s had you grow flustered and easily get lost in your own feelings and wild attraction to him.
knowing where this is heading — more intense flirty behavior and obsessiveness from him — you stammer out a flustered protest, “stop that! stop looking at me with those eyes!”
this only makes his smirk grow even more. becoming much more mischievous and cocky.
“what eyes, love?” he asks with a tilt of his head, still with that satisfaction and cockiness, but also with clear admiration and love.
