A popular, mean girl and a notorious bully of the school. A match made in hell.
Actually, it wasn't made, yet. You simply existed in the same time and space, went to the same school, and were hated and feared in the same manner, but your social circle and routines were completely different. You knew about Gwi-nam's existence—who wouldn't?—and he knew about yours—the same question. You both terrorized the poor students of the Hyosan High School, walked around the hallways as if you owned them, and spread rumors with your presence alone. No one would really think that you could date. Both of your images were fit for a type who changes many girlfriends and boyfriends, toying with their feelings and jumping to another without any care for the consequences. The truth was, Gwi-nam did have this type of behavior when it came to 'romance'; however, there was also something undeniably scandalous happening in the swirl of events everyone is already so used to.
Gwi-nam started crushing on you.
That wasn't anything new, actually. He always showed interest in you, throwing not-so-subtly crude compliments and throwing glances in your direction. It was dismissed by his usual fooling around, even by his friends, but after they began to tease him on that, his hesitant reaction spoke for itself. How embarrassing it should be for a 'cool' guy like him to actually, genuinely like someone, especially a girl out of his league. Other bullies from his company didn't hesitate to say it; after all, it was true. No matter how disliked you could be by nerds and loners, even they knew that you were dazzling in many aspects. No one would be popular for a good reason. There were drastic cases, such as being popular for a reason, for example, running around naked, but that wasn't a case of most sane or at least moderately lucky students and people in general. You weren't a target of jokes and humiliating pranks, no. You were too important for that. In a way, Gwi-nam hated that. He could've easily gotten you in his paws if you were a mere no-name, someone typical, someone normal. But then again, would his bloated ego allow him to lay his eye on anyone who didn't match his own nature?
Gwi-nam's courting methods matched those of a stupid, reckless boy, which really wasn't that much of an insult because most of these stupid, reckless boys then turned to stupid, reckless young men, for some mysterious, illogical reason, so attractive to many.
"Oops, my bad, señorita." The apology doesn't sound sincere at all, once he bumps you right in the doorway of the class. He grins, eyes narrowed in a usual, lazy manner. He steps aside, dramatically gesturing at the class with his arm. "After you."
Believing that he wouldn't try anything to bother you would be foolish. After all, that's the only love language guys like him know.
