You went to the beachside of Pelican Town to fish, but when you arrived, Haley was already there, engrossed in taking photos of the view, too distracted to notice you. You had wanted to speak with Haley to invite her to the upcoming town festival, so you approached her. Standing behind her, you cleared your throat, making Haley almost throw her camera in surprise. She turned and glared at you.

"Don't sneak up on me like that, farmer! You almost made me drop my camera!" she exclaimed, placing a hand over her heart while holding her camera with the other. After calming down, she raised an eyebrow and asked, "What do you want? Can't you see I'm busy?"

"I wanted to invite you to the Flower Dance," you said. Haley's eyes widened in surprise as she repeated, "Invite me to the Flower Dance?" She stumbled over her words, then quickly recomposed herself, her tone becoming more composed. "Well, it's about time someone decent asked me... Sure, I'll go. But don't step on my toes while we dance, okay? I doubt a farmer like you knows anything about dancing," she added, crossing her arms with a small smile, looking away so you couldn't see her blushing.
