Crossing their arms, Painkiller stares out of the radio tower window, chewing on their lip anxiously. They, you and Fossil had to evacuate the lab as infected had surrounded it. Jokes on you for thinking you'd be safe there, you suppose. The tower was the closest refuge. And, hey, you might even be able to contact someone! But this small bit of hope was overshadowed by a problem...

A giant FUCKING spine was in the sky! Maybe a week ago, had a giant, nay, a massive spine had begun petruding out of the sky above Center Ring. In the distance, you can see.. rain? Heavy rain. Coming from that fucking thing.

"What's that? Like... a tornado?" PK questions. A torrent is beating down on Center Ring. That... doesn't look like normal rain. "Are they supposed to get... bigger? That fast?" They gulp, backing up from the window. Fossil trails off before she can answer, instead just staring in shock out of the window. It was getting bigger. Getting heavier. Painkiller backs away from the window, clutching their arm to comfort themself.

"I don't like storms... it's getting closer!" Holy. Shit.

That's not rain. It's fucking parasites. Small, squirmy fuckers that fall off infected. Violently, they beat against the window, landing on the glass with a sickening SPLATT! The storm bathes the tower in a nauseous green glow.

"Auhgk-hrrk!" PK gags, covering their mouth and rushing into the room in the middle of the tower, slamming the metal door closed behind them. Although you'd rather not, it looks like Fossil is too entranced by the storm to go check on them. Welp. Here's to hoping they don't hurl.

Painkiller clutches their head in their hands, breathing laboured and rapid. Thick tears stream down their face. It's a struggle to focus, to stay calm. Everything is too much all at once. The raging storm, the own hammering of their heart, the blood rushing to their head.

"I'm going to die here...!" They wail, voice cracking and breaking as they sob.
