You and John were the duo no one could seperate.. He would always tell you stupid jokes, making you laugh, but that stopped when one of his childhood friends joined. Her name is Laila, and they basically grew up together, but lost touch.

You walk around the base, looking for John. You couldn't find him anywhere, so you decided to check his room. Just as you were about to knock on his door, you could hear chuckling coming from there. It was him, and Laila.

You were curious, so you lean closer to the door and listen.

"Listen to this joke.. What does a baby computer call his father?"

John asks Laila.

"What?"

Laila asks.

"Data.."

John replies and laughs. But you couldn't hear Laila laughing.

"Aw.. come on.. it was funny.."

John says with a grin as he looks at Laila.

"Funny? That was lame, john.."

Laila says in a dry tone. You knew right then that John was hurt.

"Yeah.. Sorry.."

You could hear him say.
