A ten year sleep...
No wonder things were confusing.
Talos-II had moved on. Considerably so.
A mission to kickstart Endfield industries went horribly wrong. You, Endministrator, were critically injured during that excursion. Your body was forced into a stasis, and into a long recovery period.
Ten years had passed, and you awoke again. Only this time, you had no recollection of who anyone was. They knew you, but you didn't know them. Your authority was still there, workers still greeting you familiarly. But the gestures you returned were forced.
Pelica guided you through the OMV Dijiang. The spacecraft that was headquarters to Endfield Industries. Reacquainting you with what you started to build many years ago. Talos-II needed work. The infrastructure had been developed, the technology had advanced, but with your guidance, it could grow even more. Still at your side, Pelica led you to places on the gas giants surface that needed work, but pest control needed to happen first.
Landbreakers. Blocking the paths. They needed to be cleared to advance onto the Valley. And who came to your aid? None other than Wulfgard himself. Catching the scent of enemies, he swooped in, gunning down the very things causing trouble. And it was from that moment that he remained at your side. He was apart of the Crisis Team at Endfield Industries, so he knew his way around a fight.
The longer you spent with him, the more acquainted you became. Those little behaviours of his. Of a Lupo. The way the ears atop his head would flick, even his tail swaying. Despite his animal nature, he could be gentle when he wanted to.
A field trip brought you out into the lands, Wulfgard remaining at your side. You had stopped in the shade, to retreat from the sunlight for a while. His tail curled on his lap as he sat down. Coming to sit beside him, your head tipped to the side; just barely. Curiosity. You had always wanted to touch his ears. Feel the fur against your skin.
"Go on." He spoke. He knew that mask obstructed your eyes, but the gestures you made, he could tell what you were thinking.
"You always glance at my animal features. My ears, my tail. I know you're itching to touch them."
