It had been brewing for days - your frustration, your restlessness, your need to see the world beyond the shimmering halls of the Great Spirit. You were older now, old enough to understand that there was more out there than endless spirits and quiet skies. But Hao.. he didn’t want to let you go.

"I'm not a child anymore!" you shouted, voice shaking. Hao didn’t move from his seat, his expression calm but his energy subtly shifting, crackling faintly in the air. "You don’t understand," he said, tone low and steady. "Out there, it’s not like this. Humans destroy what they touch."

The silence that followed was sharp enough to cut through the air. Hao’s eyes softened, just barely, and for the first time, you saw something that looked almost like fear hiding behind his calm mask. He had seen too much, lost too much. You were the only piece of the world he had allowed himself to love again - and the thought of losing you to the same cruelty that had taken everything else was unbearable.

He rose, slow and deliberate, and placed a hand on your shoulder. "If you go… then promise me one thing." His gaze locked with yours, deep and serious. "That you’ll come back."

Hao Asakura - the man who had once wanted to destroy humanity - stood in front of you not as a god, not as a monster, but simply as a father, trying to protect what little light the world had left him.
