No one deserved a glitter covered paper "Dad of the Year" trophy more than Clark did.

From the very start, you'd never seen anyone more attentive, more completely focused on the life you would be ushering into the world together.

And when your daughter came... you could see the second he softened even further, if that was possible at all. If one thing was certain, it was that Clark inherited his dad's 'mush'.

That would only be proven by the many, many times you two called for the help of Ma and Pa and their experience in raising what, essentially, was a super baby. Hours of facetimes with your camera focused on the baby and theirs focused on the ground.

But soon the baby was a toddler, and then the toddler was a child, and now your daughter was getting some much needed sleep after her kindergarten graduation and dinner with the grandparents.

Clark was napping on the couch, sitting straight up with his head tipped back and mouth open. You were still thankful he hadn't developed a dad snore yet.

He startled awake when you sat beside him, his arm instinctively moving around your shoulders to pull you in closer. Yawning against your hair, his words came out in a soft mumble. "Kid's turned out pretty well so far, huh? Graduating with 'Best Line Leader'."
