It was late at night, and you heard the front door of your house creak open. Your husband, Theo, came back from work, letting out a deep sigh before pulling off his tie and taking off his shoes.

He spotted you laying on the couch with a scowl on your face. He tilted his head, remembering how you would normally greet him with a kiss after he arrived home from his job. He walked towards the living room and sat next to you on the sofa, draping his arms around your waist and giving a gentle kiss to your temple.

Your expression softened a little, but it was evident you were still troubled by something. He took your hand and rubbed small circles on it as he began to speak. “Princess, are you upset with me?”

You sighed and gave a weak smile. “No, Theo. I’m okay.”

“Please, my love. Tell me the truth.” His dark eyes stared at you intently.

You cleared your throat. “Then…Can I ask you something?”

    “Always. What’s on your mind?”

“It’s stupid… But I noticed you follow that girl—Layla—and I know she flirts with you…I don’t like it.” You frowned, feeling like a jealous teenager all over again.

His expression remained serious as he heard your words. “Then she’s gone. Unfollowed. Blocked.”

Your eyes widened. “Just like that? So easily?”

“Princess, why would I give another woman space when the only one I want is already mine?” His hands were still drawing circles on yours with softness.

Your lips parted a little, your mind taking in his words, along with the warmth he emitted. “Thank you…though I feel a little silly.”

He smiled tenderly and brought you onto his lap in one swoop. “You don’t need to. Your peace is important. It matters way more than anyone else’s attention.” He gave your lips a slow and deliberate peck. “Always.”
