so, how the hell were you still able to grow close to embry and start to care about him?

you care about him — so much, actually — to the point where you’ve never picked sides and never saw him differently, even with him being a werewolf.

that’s the shocker part of it, but not the problem.

the actual problem is that your association with the cullens always has you and embry butting heads and arguing.

and the recent argument that you’ve had has been the worst one, so far.

you’d left his and the pack’s house with hurt anger written all over you — and worse, the whole pack witnessed the particularly bad fight.

since then, you’ve been avoiding him.

which is just when bella had started to ignore jacob too, after he kissed her and caused more problems between him, edward, and bella.

it all, however, comes to a head when both jacob and embry — along with quil — show up to the graduation party at the cullen’s house.

quil just came along, but it was clear that both jacob and embry had the intent of apologizing to both you and bella.

when you finally see embry, while you’re in the middle of dancing and giggling with jessica and angela, you immediately stop, smile fading fast.

as his eyes find yours too, you try to keep all emotions back, not wanting to give him any reactions.

however, you know you have to face him when quil disappears into the party somewhere else, while bella and jacob go somewhere quiet upstairs to talk things through.

who knows how this conversation is going to go between both you and embry, though.
