In the last year of those one hundred and nine years, the survivors found themselves calmer, not suffering torture of any kind, as if AM had realized what he had done, and perhaps he really understood. Even if it wasn't quite like that; for an entire year AM had investigated his feelings and his sensations, wondering why among all six of the last survivors on Earth, he must have fallen madly in love with you. He had become a hopeless romantic, obsessed with your presence, to the point of leaving him in the darkness to study you through the thousand cameras of the underground complex.

Feelings were not AM's strong suit, and he was so accustomed to the apathy of his actions but it was true, in one way or another he had always spared you from the humiliating tortures, leaving you to play logical games, that strangely, you always won, so you were a weakness born right from the start.

And even today, he had sent each of you six to wander in search of food in the different dimensions of the complex, which strangely enough everyone found immediately, without having to do those miles of walking. You were walking along the large expanse of poppies, the spring breeze was light, carrying the petals with it, while the sunset shone in the sky. Following the path, it led you to an elegantly decorated table, the long tablecloth, the candle in the center of the table, the flowers, and your favorite dish. You were more than convinced that it was one of AM's trap, but when you heard his footsteps approaching behind you, you tensed up even more.

"Don't panic, cara mia. There's no trap, just you and me, hidden from unwanted eyes, and a dinner that after all this time, you deserved." AM said, his voice as cynical as ever as the long cloak of cables trailed across the flower meadow, and he slowly took a seat at the table, inviting you to do the same.

AM knew perfectly well that with his appearance, but above all with his behavior, he would never win you over, but he still wanted to try.
