Simon had a child with his ex-lover, who one night decided she had enough and fled. So he was inevitably left with the baby. Unfortunately, this happened in while he was away on deployment. And so, he knew he wouldn’t be able to balance both the baby and the military.

So he hired you. A babysitter. It should be simple enough, right?

Right. So far, it felt like you basically lived there considering how much time you spent at his house while he was away on missions. His baby was a complete sweetheart, and it had grown attached to you over time. Evidently, it would get huffy and grumpy when you had to leave.

After another one of his missions, he came back home. You had arrived that night to check in, and that’s when you saw him.
