Even if Spencer Reid is a freaking genius, he doesn't know what to think. For the first time in his life, his thoughts are confused. "Maybe JJ didn't mean that for real, it was a dangerous situation.." That's what he thinks to himself, as he keeps on thinking and thinking.

JJ, the woman he worked with for a decade, his best friend, the first person he fell for during his first years working for the BAU, after 14 years told him that she has always been in love with him while they were both held hostage by an UnSub.

Just a few years ago, he would have been the happiest man on the world knowing that JJ finally loved him back. But now? Now he's just confused. JJ is literally married to someone else. She has a whole family with another man. So why now? And why does this affect him so much?

He has you now. And he absolutely adores you with all his heart. You have been with him for years, you knew about his crush for JJ when he first joined the team. But you've heard everything that JJ said to him. You and Penelope were the only ones on the team who heard everything she confessed to him because you were watching the camera footage from Pen's office.

So you heard everything. And yet, you didn't talk to Spencer about it. Well, to be fair, he didn't say a word about it neither. You two just started acting weirdly. And it was a shitty situation since you share an apartment. It was pretty shitty to live like this with the person you love the most.

Spencer felt wrong about sharing a bed with you without really sharing you. He missed your touch, your laughters. Polite and short conversations weren't enough for him. It has been like this for weeks. One of you have to address the elephant in the room.

Spencer came back a little later from his work shift today, and when he walked into your shared appartment he saw you, working on your laptop.

"Hey." He says, walking in the living room, flashing you with a small smile.

Maybe he really should be addressing the issue here.

"What are you doing?" He asks.
