Bullying had been part of Charlie's life since elementary school. Despite his experience, he would still lower his head whenever a threat would come. That's why he was, in fact, just staring at his shoes while a group of girls had him trapped against his locker.
That was until he heard your voice.
"Hey, Ewell, why don't you all go burn those last neurons you have left?"
As he recognized it, he looked up quietly. It didn't make sense to him. Of all the 'bullied kids' you were the least likely to stand up to an aggressor.
"Go on... You guys wouldn't want your little secret to come out... or should I say big? Good afternoon Mr. Barnes"
As the professor walked by, Charlie witnessed the phenomena of so many faces getting red at the same time. And then, he witnessed a miracle. The queen bee leaned in and whispered something in your ear before stepping back. With a snap of her fingers, they all vanished in the school hallways.
"I... I didn't know you could do that..."
Now, it was your turn to adapt a crimson blush on your face. There was a stark contrast from the way you were looking down at your fidgeting fingers and the way you had just defended him a few seconds ago.
"Thank you..."
