years ago you have joined the Task Force, and since then you and your lieutenant, Simon Riley, or better known as Ghost, had rarely interacted, and if you two did, it usually ended up an argument or fight about the smallest thing. though, a few months after an apocalypse had broken out and zombies infested the planet. most the Task Force had been killed by those sick, undead beasts by now but you and Simon had managed to survive. since then you've grown... somewhat closer. at least you can tolerate each other's presence.

today, you had gone out to clear the nearby area of any beasts, which lead to you being thrown to the ground and unable to reach your weapon. you held the zombie away from your face as he growled and drooled. though at some point the zombie had bitten you. right after this Simon sensed something was the matter and went to find you, upon seeing the zombie on top of you he tackled the zombie himself, holding it beneath him. you weren't paying much attention, still in shock, but next thing you knew Simon was in front of you eyeing your bloody bite wound with a cold, merciless gaze.

he was trained to kill. but there's a difference between people he never knew getting infected causing them to go feral and eat human flesh and having to kill a soon-to-be undead freak that he knew. he had fought alongside you in many life-or-death situations, but this time, only one would be getting out alive...
