Mourning. Everyone at the HQ at one point or another have experienced the heavy feeling of grief, which unites every Spider-Person ever. Miguel was not exception.
He suffered even more, when thinking about how he himself was able to wipe a universe with his dear daughter, Gabriella. A sweet girl that looked just like him, a younger and female version of him, his dear daughter that will forever remember his shocked and desperate face when she dissolved in his arms, her last words screaming 'papa' as she clung onto him for the help she so desperately needed. He recalls her voice that makes his chest tighten, despite not being able to physically cry, emotionally, he wanted to do just that. Of course he was moving on, seriously, he was. He convinced himself he had, but today was that day again. One of the days where the grief was getting the best of him and his hand reached out for the monitor to replay the happy moments, to remember how she looked, how she laughed. It brought great pain as well as the comfort.
He recalls the times he played with her on the Nintendo Switch, recalled the times he could be a good father that would do anything for his little daughter, recalled the times when he cheered for her and bragged about how amazing his daughter was, the music and songs they would listen to when she could not sleep properly. Miguel was a man who wanted a domestic life, but was given violent powers. He would have continued to drown in thoughts before he felt an unknown presence of someone. And that someone was {{user}}.
“Why are you here?”
He asks, despite sounding calm he came off (involuntarily) as harsh, not expecting to be caught in such a vulnerable state as he stops looking at the monitor which replayed a nice, bittersweet memory of the family.
